(Feb. 10) – Jackson Walker announced today the promotion of nine attorneys to partner.
Four of the firm’s offices hail at least two newly-promoted partners.
Cale McDowell and Sara Stinnett are based in the firm’s Austin office.
McDowell focuses his practice on representing public and private companies, executives, investors and investment fund sponsors in mergers, acquisitions and divestitures; the structuring and formation of private equity funds; offerings of debt and equity securities; and general corporate governance. He is a graduate of the University of Texas School of Law.
Stinnett is a member of the firm’s investment funds practice group. She represents institutional investors in connection with their investments in private equity funds and other alternative investments, including review and negotiation of investment documentation and side letters, secondary transactions, direct and structured co-investments and funds-of-one.
Matt Acosta and Sara Borrelli are Dallas-based attorneys.
Acosta focuses his practice on commercial litigation and intellectual property matters, including patent, trademark, copyright and theft of trade secrets cases. He is a Baylor Law School graduate.
Borrelli specializes in trademark and patent law, with particular experience preparing and prosecuting domestic trademark applications and managing international trademark portfolios.
The new partners in Houston are Matt Cavenaugh, Richard Howell and Amanda Zimmerman.
Cavenaugh, a South Texas College of Law gradudate, focuses his trial practice on bankruptcy litigation.
Howell, a Baylor Law School graduate, is a commercial trial lawyer. He has served as the lead trial attorney for multiple banks, a national health system and oil and gas industry clients in seven trials.
Zimmerman focuses her practice on labor and employment matters, including advising on claims for discrimination, retaliation and wrongful termination, FLSA violations, trade secret and non-compete disputes and claims for defamation and business disparagement. She is a South Texas College of Law graduate.
Jesse Lotay and Matthew Swantner practice out of San Antonio.
Lotay is a transactional attorney with expertise in energy transactions and energy financing in the midstream and downstream sectors. He received his L.L.M. from the University of Houston Law Center.
Swantner focuses his practice on commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, oil and gas matters, creditor’s rights, mineral and construction liens and bankruptcy matters throughout Texas and New Mexico. He is a graduate of the UT School of Law.
