(May 2) – Jones Day announced recently that it has boosted its capital markets practice in Houston with the addition of Emily Leitch as a partner.

Leitch, who was formerly at Bracewell, says she was impressed by Jones Day’s reputation in representing corporate America and their collaborative culture.

“I am looking forward to helping build the firm’s transactional practice in Houston,” she said. “They are invested in young partners.”

The University of Texas School of Law graduate focuses her practice on capital markets activities, corporate governance matters, securities law compliance, mergers and acquisitions and financial restructurings.

Leitch has significant experience in representing companies in the energy sector. She recently counseled Noble Energy in its acquisition of Clayton Williams earlier this year.
