(January 7) – Wellington, Fla.-based B/E Aerospace recently announced that it is purchasing two Texas-based companies that offer oil and gas services in the Eagle Ford Shale for a combined $265 million.
One is Houston-based LT Energy Services and the other is Marshall-based Wildcat Wireline. LT is a rental equipment provider, and Wildcat is a wireline services company that also does business in the Marcellus/Utica basin.
Latham & Watkins represented Wildcat in the transaction. The Houston-based corporate team was led by partners Michael Dillard and Sean Wheeler and associates Christopher Little and Taylor Mullings.
Houston partner Timothy Fenn and associate Bryant Lee advised Wildcat on the tax matters of the deal. Attorneys from Latham’s Washington, D.C. and San Diego offices were also involved.
Miami-based Akerman advised B/E Aerospace.
