(May 31) – Locke Lord announced recently that it strengthened its corporate team in Dallas with the addition of Christine Williford as a partner.

Williford, who lateraled over from Hunton Andrews Kurth, says it was an opportunity she couldn’t pass up.

“The firm has experienced a number of years of growth in the M&A space, and I’m looking forward to helping build upon the fantastic momentum the group has established,” she said.

The University of Texas School of Law graduate represents buyers and sellers in private M&A transactions, capital market deals and SEC reporting and compliance.

Over the past year, Williford has handled numerous add-on acquisitions for LEXITAS, a nationwide provider of litigation support services. She has helped the company expand beyond Texas into New York, New Jersey, Illinois, Pennsylvania, Delaware and California.

“All of our deals the last two years have required creativity and out-of-the-box thinking, and Chrissy has been the perfect partner in navigating us through a number of complex transactions,” said Zack Miller, chief acquisitions officer for LEXITAS.

Williford says a surprising trend for many in the corporate space has been the continued availability and use of representation and warranty insurance policies purchased in connection with private M&A deals.

In the community, Williford sits on the board for Cancer Support Community of North Texas and is president of Club Blue, the young professionals arm of the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Dallas.
