Locke Lord announced on Wednesday that Paul Coggins, co-chair of the firm’s white collar criminal defense and internal investigations practice group, has been named president-elect of the National Association of Former United States Attorneys (NAFUSA).
Coggins, a Clinton appointee, was the U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Texas from 1993 to 2001. He twice served on the U.S. Attorney General’s Advisory Council, including serving as vice chair in 1998.
NAFUSA exists to promote, defend and further the integrity and the preservation of the litigating authority and independence of the office of the U.S. Attorney as one of the principal instrumentalities through which the President of the United States carries out his constitutional obligation that the laws be faithfully executed.
Coggins is a partner in Locke Lord’s Dallas office.
