(Aug. 30) – Locke Lord recently announced that Volunteer Legal Services of Central Texas honored the firm with its 2016 Judge Suzanne Covington Pro Bono Service award.
The firm was recognized for the number of pro bono cases handled by Locke Lord lawyers over the past year and for the financial support provided by the firm and its lawyers, according to a press release.
“We are honored to be recognized by VLS for the legal services we provided to the Austin community over the past year,” Susan Kidwell, a partner in Locke Lord’s Austin office and president-elect of VLS, said in a statement.
“We are committed to helping the mission of the VLS to provide assistance with the critical matters they face in ensuring that poverty is not a barrier to justice and we look forward to continuing our work for the organization.”
