McKool Smith has added veteran first-chair trial lawyer Mary-Olga “Mo” Lovett as a principal in their Dallas office, where she will focus on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation.
Lovett joins McKool Smith after founding Mo Lovett Law. She previously practiced at King & Spalding for 1.5 years and spent almost 18 years at Greenberg Traurig.
Lovett brings more than 30 years of experience representing plaintiffs and defendants in complex, high-stakes litigation. She has tried dozens of cases, including more than 50 matters involving over $100 billion at stake and has served as lead counsel in more than 70 patent cases in the Eastern District of Texas.

McKool Smith reported a headcount of 72 lawyers last year, an increase of 2.9 percent from 2024, according to the Lawbook 50.
AREAS OF FOCUS
Lovett focuses on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation, including patent and trademark infringement, trade secrets, class actions, product liability and employment disputes. She has extensive experience handling high-stakes litigation in state and federal courts, with experience in patent litigation.
