Jeremy Mouton, a Porter Hedges partner for less than a year, is advising Oklahoma City-based American Energy in two big transactions announced Monday: $2.5 billion to acquire 63,000 acres in the Permian Basin and $1.75 billion to buy 75,000 acres in the Utica and Marcellus shale plays. Baker Botts and Latham & Watkins represented the respective sellers in the two transactions.
