(Aug. 26) – Morgan Lewis announced this past week that employment litigator Ann Marie Arcadi has joined the firm as a partner in its Dallas office.

Arcadi is the eleventh Dallas lawyer to jump to Morgan Lewis from K&L Gates this year. She counsels clients across a variety of industries on U.S. state and federal labor and employment laws, represents them before regulatory agencies and assists them with internal investigations.

“I’m excited about the opportunity to grow the firm’s Texas offices’ labor and employment practice,” she said.

The new Morgan Lewis partner says she has seen an increase in non-compete cases since the economy has gotten better.

“There is room for employees to move and a need and desire for employers to protect trade secrets and confidential information,” she said.

Arcadi added that classification of workers is a hot topic and growing area of enforcement.
