Andrea Stover, a long-time energy industry lawyer with extensive experience practicing before the Texas Public Utility Commission and the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, has been named the new general counsel at Johnson City-based Pedernales Electric Cooperative.
A 2004 graduate of American University’s Washington College of Law, Stover practiced nearly a dozen years at Graves Dougherty in Austin and the past seven and a half years at Baker Botts.
“We are delighted to welcome Andrea to the PEC team,” Pedernales CEO Julie C. Parsley wrote in a press release. “Her wealth of experience working in the Texas electric industry, along with her understanding of cooperative values and business model help position Andrea to exceptionally serve our membership.”
Stover will “tackle challenges including increased regulatory requirements in an ever-changing electric wholesale market and impacts related to the unprecedented growth of the cooperative membership,” the company said in an announcement.
“PEC is an industry leader with a legacy that continues to focus on the needs of its members and communities,” Stover said. “I am honored to serve alongside and support the dedicated team throughout the Cooperative in its mission to provide safe and reliable power.”
Stover’s first day was Oct. 1.
