(Dec. 14) – The U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit has two new judges: Gibson Dunn appellate partner James Ho and Texas Supreme Court Justice Don Willett.

The U.S. Senate confirmed Ho Thursday by a 53 to 43 vote.

Ho, who is an appellate law specialist and served as Texas Solicitor General, will be the first Asian-American to serve on the federal appellate court based in New Orleans.

The Senate voted 50 to 47 Wednesday to approve Willett, who served on the Texas Supreme Court for the past 12 years.
