After having served on the Dallas Area Rapid Transit (DART) board of directors as vice chair of the board and chair of the Budget and Finance Committee, Robert Strauss of Strasburger & Price has been elected chair of the board.
Strauss, appointed to DART’s board of directors in 2006 by the Dallas city council, focuses his practice on real estate, housing, finance and private placements of equity securities. He has represented one of the largest owners and managers of senior housing, clients in the development of hospitals and medical offices, several special purpose Catholic faith-based 501(c)(3) organizations affiliated with the Catholic Diocese of Dallas, oil and gas exploration companies and real estate developers.
“Our vision calls upon us to honor the ‘Strasburger Way’ in all that we do,” Daniel Butcher, Strasburger’s managing partner, said in a statement. “This includes taking a long-term perspective and continually investing in ourselves and our communities and taking part in shaping the future of Texas and our region.”
