Herb Hammond, a partner in Thompson & Knight’s Dallas office, was recently one of 69 new members elected to the American Law Institute (ALI). Hammond focuses his practice on litigation, licensing and counseling in intellectual property matters.
ALI’s new members are comprised of 15 jurists, 29 practicing lawyers and 25 scholars. The 69 new members bring ALI’s total membership to 2,760. According to its website, ALI is the leading independent organization in the United States producing scholarly work to clarify, modernize, and otherwise improve the law.
