By Brooks Igo
(July 29) – Thompson & Knight recently announced that oil and gas attorney Stacy Smith Brown joined the firm’s Houston office as a partner from New Orleans-based Carver, Darden, Koretzky, Tessier, Finn, Blossman & Areaux.
Brown focuses her practice on Bureau of Ocean Energy Management regulations and contracts relating to the acquisition and operation of offshore oil and gas leases.
According to her firm bio, she has previously represented Chevron Pipe Line Company in a successful defense of a race discrimination claim and in a successful expropriation of land for the Empire Oil Terminal.
