Kelly Hart’s Michael McConnell Receives 2013 A. Sherman Christensen Award

Michael A. McConnell, a partner at Kelly Hart & Hallman LLP, has been selected to receive the A. Sherman Christensen Award by the American Inns of Court. The award will be presented at the annual American Inns of Court Celebration of Excellence at the Supreme Court of the United States on October 19, 2013; the event will be hosted by Associate Justice Elena Kagan.

McConnell, a former U.S. bankruptcy judge from the Northern District of Texas, serves as chairman of the firm’s business reorganization and bankruptcy practice group.

The University of Texas School of Law graduate is a co-founder and charter member of the Eldon B. Mahon American Inn of Court in Fort Worth and the Honorable John C. Ford American Inn of Court in Dallas. He has served on the American Inns of Court Board of Trustees and is active on its Leadership Council.

The A. Sherman Christensen Award is bestowed upon a member of an American Inn of Court who, at the local, state, or national level has provided distinguished, exceptional and significant leadership to the American Inns of Court movement.
