Hunton & Williams recently named Howard Schreiber and Carl Schwartz as co-chairs of the firm’s global real estate practice group. They will take over a practice of 55 lawyers and 16 paralegals with offices in the U.S. and Europe for William Walsh, Jr.
In 2012, Schreiber, who has led the real estate practice in Dallas, led Hunton & Williams’ legal team in connection with the acquisition and related credit tenant lease financing of 111 drill sites in the Barnett Shale (totaling 408 acres) for 111 Realty Investors, one of the largest property acquisitions from a REIT in 2012, according to a statement issued by the firm.
Before joining Hunton & Williams in 2007, Schreiber chaired the national real estate department for seven years at Jenkens & Gilchrist.
