Maverick Gaming, a Washington state-based gambling operation, and 68 of its affiliated businesses filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection on Monday, citing $100 million to $500 million in liabilities.
Maverick, which also operates under the name RunItOneTime and has about 30 casinos and restaurants in Colorado, Nevada and Washington, has hired Latham & Watkins and Hunton Andrews Kurth as its lead legal advisors. Hunton AK lawyers filing first-day documents in the case include Tad Davidson, Ashley Harper and Philip Guffy.
The case has been assigned to Houston Bankruptcy Judge Alfredo Perez.
Maverick has hired GLC Advisors as its investment banker, Triple P TRS as its financial advisor and KPMG as its tax advisor.
An ad hoc group of lenders has hired Ropes & Gray and Porter Hedges. Other law firms hired by creditors and other third parties include Kirkland & Ellis, Haynes Boone and Norton Rose Fulbright.
