By Brooks Igo

(Sept. 12) – Eversheds Sutherland has boosted its energy litigation practice in Houston with the addition of counsel Matthew Rawlinson, the firm recently announced.

Rawlinson was previously a partner at Hicks Thomas. He works with investors, energy providers, project developers, underwriters and commodity trading firms on litigation that results from oilfield services, interstate gas pipeline projects and energy sector contracts.

“Texas is the epicenter for oil and gas disputes, and as we look toward the future, Matt’s capabilities are a natural fit for the group and Eversheds Sutherland,” David A. Baay, Houston office partner-in-charge and co-chair of the US energy litigation team, said in a statement.
