Former AccessHealth GC Jumps to Seyfarth Shaw in Houston

(May 9) – Seyfarth Shaw has strengthened its healthcare practice in Houston with the addition of Janice Suchyta, the firm announced Wednesday.

Suchyta is the former general counsel and chief strategy officer of AccessHealth, a federally qualified not-for-profit community health center with 16 locations and more than 200 employees.

In this role, her responsibilities included regulatory oversight of federal and state funding sources, and oversight of AccessHealth’s data security and privacy; risk management; regulatory compliance, including Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement; and contractual relationships with outside vendors, hospitals, ACOs, and insurance companies.
