Bracewell has strengthened its white collar defense group in Dallas this week with the addition of Matthew Nielsen.
Nielsen has practiced at Dallas litigation boutique Stanton LLP since 2017. Before that, he worked for 10 years at Andrews Kurth, where he served as chair of its white collar and regulatory enforcement group.
A Baylor Law School graduate, Nielsen represents US and international clients on matters related to federal and state securities laws, US export controls and sanctions laws and regulations, Foreign Corrupt Practices Act, whistleblower complaints, accounting fraud and healthcare fraud.
According to Bracewell’s announcement, Nielsen has recently overturned the lifetime bar of a 30-year securities professional by successfully challenging the constitutionality of SEC administrative proceedings and led the team overseeing the monitorship of an international company found guilty of violating US export control laws.
