King & Spalding Bolsters Construction Transactional Team in Houston

February 13, 2020 Brooks Igo

King & Spalding strengthened its already deep construction transactional team with the addition of Houston partner Ingrid Myers on Thursday.

Myers moved to K&S from Morgan Lewis. She assists clients in the development of LNG, solar, biomass and nuclear facilities.

“Ingrid has a strong reputation for being one of the best at what she does and for fostering a spirit of collaboration amongst her colleagues,” Tracie Renfroe, managing partner of K&S’ Houston office, said in a statement. “She will fit nicely on our construction transactional team—one of the foremost in the world—which has helped clients build projects in more than 75 countries.”

Myers, who was a geologist in the mining and petroleum industries before going to law school, praised K&S’ global platform and people, who she said are at the “leading edge of the industry.”

The firm’s U.S. construction transactional team is the largest of its kind in the country, according to the K&S announcement. With Myers, the Houston office has four partners — including Scott Greer, Rob Garner and Jonathan Katz — and seven associates focused almost exclusively on the drafting and negotiation of construction-related agreements.
