Gabrielle “Elle” Grinnell is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Journalism and a minor in Business. She served as UT’s Student Government Vice President, led the National Pan-Hellenic Council for two terms, and is a member of The Friar Society. Wesley Smith, a real estate partner, has joined Kirkland & Ellis in Dallas from Willkie Farr & Gallagher. He will focus his practice on complex real estate debt and equity transactions, with an emphasis on digital infrastructure development and construction financings.
Austin Green, a commercial real estate shareholder, has joined Polsinelli’s Dallas office from Wick Phillips. He will represent developers, real estate investment funds, REITs, institutional owners and investors in commercial real estate transactions involving acquisitions and dispositions, development, leasing, financing and asset management.
Trevor Coddington, an intellectual property attorney, has joined Kane Russell Coleman Logan as a director in the firm's Austin office. He will focus his practice on patent prosecution, patent litigation, trademark and copyright counseling, and intellectual property strategy.
Platt Richmond has promoted Joseph Kim, Kinsey Lakey and Christopher Harbin to partner, recognizing their contributions to the firm’s commercial real estate, litigation and bankruptcy practices, the firm announced.

Mac Marshall, an energy partner, has joined Troutman Pepper Locke in Houston from Norton Rose Fulbright. He will focus his practice on upstream and midstream energy transactions, including acquisitions and divestitures, commercial agreements and energy financings.
William “Bill” Pedersen III has joined Cantey Hanger as a partner in Dallas. The former appellate justice will represent clients in litigation and appellate matters across a broad range of disputes.
James Bedotto, a finance partner, has joined Foley & Lardner in Dallas from Kirkland & Ellis. He joins the firm's finance practice, where he will focus on advising private equity sponsors, financial institutions and corporate borrowers on complex debt finance transactions.
