Carrington Coleman has added a pair of “technology-forward” lawyers, including one with deep ties to the firm.
Kate Morris and Russ Pearlman are beginning a new chapter after their firm Hosch & Morris closed its doors. Their law partner Charles Hosch went missing last fall when hiking Blood Mountain in Georgia.

“Charles was our mentor, law partner, and steadfast friend,” Morris said in a statement. “‘Open the Future’ was our firm’s motto: A conviction that how we act today shapes what’s possible tomorrow. He is still with us in that belief — and in every way that endures.
“[Carrington Coleman] is a firm we both have long admired, and filled with lawyers we trust. We’re honored not only to join the firm, but to be so warmly welcomed into such good company. Deepest thanks to Monica Latin, Kelli Hinson, Alex More, and all those at Carrington who made this transition possible. Their support has been both a safe harbor and a launching pad.”
Latin, managing partner at Carrington Coleman, said Morris and Pearlman are a “great combination of smarts and personality.

“They’re such wonderful people. They’re joining an energized group of colleagues. They’re futurists and have great vision. We couldn’t be more proud they chose Carrington Coleman for their home.”
Latin added that Morris and Pearlman strengthen the firm’s ability to help clients across industries navigate rapidly evolving issues in AI governance, privacy, cybersecurity, and technology transactions.
Many lawyers at Carrington Coleman have known Morris for decades from her and Hosch’s tenure at Strasburger & Price.
Carrington Coleman has increased its headcount from 50 lawyers to 68 lawyers over the last five years. Latin said the growth is part of propelling the firm for the next generation.
