July 16, 2026 Elle Grinnell

Jake Pylman, a corporate lawyer, has been named a shareholder at Elder Bray & Bankler in San Antonio. He focuses his practice on mergers and acquisitions, buy/sell transactions, capital investments, startup and working capital financings and other commercial contracts, according to a news release.

Before being named a shareholder, Pylman spent five years at the firm, where he advised middle-market companies, business owners and private investors on business acquisitions and divestitures, private placements, and other commercial transactions. Before relocating to Texas, he practiced corporate law in Connecticut. He earned his law degree from the University of Connecticut after receiving his bachelor’s degree from the University of Rochester.

“Jake has become a trusted advisor to clients navigating complex transactions and critical stages of business growth,” said founding shareholder Dan Elder in a news release. “His practical business judgment and commitment to client service have made him an integral part of our firm. We are proud to have him on our team.”

According to the release, Pylman represents middle-market companies, business owners and private investors in mergers and acquisitions, business acquisitions and divestitures, buy/sell transactions, capital investments, corporate restructurings, entity formations and other commercial agreements. His practice focuses on helping clients achieve their business objectives while managing legal and transactional risk.
