(December 20)–Three associates from Jones Day’s Texas offices are among the firm’s 34 newly promoted partners, effective Jan. 1.
Joanne Bush and Mark Robinson are in the firm’s Dallas office, while Omar Samji is based in Houston.
Bush, a Harvard Law School graduate, represents employers in all aspects of employment and traditional labor law before federal and state courts and administrative agencies.
Robinson, a Washing University School of Law graduate, focuses his practice on representing banks and other financial institutions, equity sponsors, and public and private companies in a broad range of finance transactions, including senior and subordinated debt facilities, debt security issuances, acquisition financings, bridge financings and cross-border transactions.
Samji, a Columbia Law School graduate, focuses his practice on oil and gas and energy infrastructure transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, project development, joint ventures, and financing, both domestic and international. He has completed more than $20 billion of upstream, midstream, offshore, LNG import/export, oil field services, refinery, power generation and infrastructure transactions.
