(July 23) – Reed Smith recently announced Kenneth Broughton as the first managing partner of the firm’s Houston office, which opened in 2013.
Broughton, who was among Pittsburgh-based firm’s first dozen lawyers in Houston, will take over day-to-day management responsibilities from David Thompson, who has served as the integration partner since launching the firm’s first Texas office.
“We expect to more than double in size in the next few years, as a part of our strategic plan to meet clients’ business needs,” Broughton, a commercial litigation partner, said in a statement.
Reed Smith also announced that Diane Frenier, a partner in the firm’s Princeton office and a member of the firm’s executive committee, will office in Houston for six months beginning in the fall to continue the firm’s integration efforts.
