Corporate attorney Mary R. Korby and litigator T. Gregory Jackson join K&L Gates’ Dallas office.
Korby, who joins the firm’s corporate practice as a partner from Weil, Gotshal & Manges, advises boards and companies regarding securities law compliance, stock exchange listings, disclosure issues and corporate governance, including sensitive fiduciary duty matters. Korby, a graduate of Southern Methodist University’s Dedman School of Law, was recently a part of the team representing Kinder Morgan in its $38 billion acquisition of El Paso Corporation, which The Texas Lawbook reported on in May.
Jackson, who joins the firm’s commercial disputes practice as a partner, has served as lead or co-counsel in complex disputes in state and federal courts throughout the United States representing Fortune 500 and middle market companies, governmental entities, and professionals in the energy services, construction, real estate, oil and gas, retail, hospitality, and financial services industries. Jackson is a graduate of Baylor Law School and arrives at K&L Gates from Geary, Porter & Donovan.
