Norton Rose Fulbright announced Tuesday that it has hired a new partner for its corporate, M&A and securities practice in Dallas.
Gabriella Orengo Lyons, who has wide-ranging knowledge and experience working for and advising family offices, joins the Norton Rose Fulbright from Sidley Austin, where she most recently served as a senior managing associate.
With more than two decades of executive and corporate legal roles, Lyons specializes in matters tied to structuring, operations and risk management. She primarily serves family offices and family- and founder-owned companies, including investments, M&A, regulatory matters and providing strategic counsel and more, as well as preparing plans to preserve and grow generational wealth.
“Gabby’s addition reflects our focus on growing the firm with dynamic lawyers across the U.S. Her significant experience servicing leading family offices will enhance our overall corporate offering,” said Norton Rose Fulbright U.S. Managing Partner Jeff Cody in a news release.
Norton Rose Fulbright’s U.S. Head of Corporate, M&A and Securities, Scarlet McNellie, said Lyons’ “deep connections” to the family office scene in Dallas will be a key asset. “Her strong background in family office operations and investment management will enhance our ability to serve complex family offices across the nation.”
A 2003 graduate of Trinity University, Lyons received her law degree from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 2006.
“Norton Rose Fulbright is widely known for its full-service capabilities across all of the various disciplines that leading global family offices and investment managers demand. I am excited for the opportunity to work with the many outstanding Norton Rose Fulbright lawyers and clients,” Lyons said in the release.
