(April 22) – Fort Worth-based Shannon Gracey added two new hires and named an administrative partner, the firm announced Monday.
Mediator David Seidler and construction law expert Christian Ellis joined the firm as partners in its Fort Worth office, while Lisa Songy assumed her new position as the head of the Dallas office.
Seidler, who was a partner with the firm in 1993, returns after most recently practicing for nearly four years at Jackson Walker. Ellis, a Baylor Law School graduate, worked the past eight years at Harrison Steck, PC – a construction law boutique in Fort Worth.
“David and Christian are unique finds,” said Richard Lowe, managing partner of Shannon Gracey and an M&A lawyer based in Fort Worth. “We already have a strong construction practice in Arlington, and Christian gives us the opportunity to expand that practice into Fort Worth.”
Songy takes over the 12-lawyer Dallas office for Mike Tabor, whose term as administrative partner recently ended. Lowe said that Songy, who is a firm veteran of seven years, has been an important part of Shannon Gracey.
Though Lowe said the firm does not want to grow for growth’s sake, he said it is looking for ways to strategically grow across all of its offices and practice areas. Dallas, he says, is a prime area for growth.
“It has a strong legal market and we would like a bigger imprint there,” he said.
