Texas A&M University’s acquisition of Texas Wesleyan University School of Law officially closed Monday.
An announcement on the school’s website says its new name is Texas A&M University School of Law.
An interview request with Aric Short, the school’s interim dean, has been submitted.
The close of the deal follows last week’s completion of the last regulatory step needed to complete the law school acquisition. On Friday, the American Bar Association Council for the Section of Legal Education formally approved the Texas Wesleyan – Texas A&M University joint application for acquiescence.
The school’s online announcement lists a transition services website that “is designed to help our new law students during the transition.”
More details to come as the story develops.
