(April 15) – Greenberg Traurig attorneys Jordan Cowman, Pamela Ferguson and Kendyl Hanks have been elected Fellows of the Texas Bar Foundation, the firm announced at the end of last week.

“This accolade for their pursuit of excellent in the legal profession and their passion for serving the community is well-deserved,” said Douglas Atnipp, the firm’s co-managing shareholder of the Houston office.

Cowman, a corporate and securities shareholder in Dallas, is currently the chairman of the Texas Business Hall of Fame and serves on the boards of the Dallas Assembly and the Dallas Committee on Foreign Relations. He also provides pro bono counsel to Ability Connection Texas.

Ferguson, a litigation associate in Houston, has held leadership and committee positions in the Houston Young Lawyers Association the past eight years. She is also involved with Kids in Need of Defense (KIND) and has provided pro bono representation on a variety of cases including immigration, child welfare and guardianship.

Hanks, a trial and appellate shareholder in Austin, is a recipient of the Travis County Women Lawyers Association’s “Pro Bono Award” and previously served as one of the youngest elected members of the American Bar Association Board of Governors and House of Delegates. She also co-chairs an appellate subcommittee of the ABA Section of Business Law.

The Texas Bar Foundation is the largest charitably-funded bar foundation in the country. Each year, only one-third of one percent of state bar members are invited to become Fellows.
