Winstead Adds Real Estate Shareholder from Fried Frank

June 25, 2024 Brooks Igo

Winstead has recruited real estate lawyer Luis Murguia from Fried Frank to join its Dallas headquarters as a shareholder.

Murguia, who received his law degree from the Tecnológico de Monterrey and earned a master’s of law from New York University, practiced at Fried Frank for eight and a half years. He advises private equity funds, pension funds, family offices, developers, and other investors on transactions including joint ventures and platform formations, acquisitions and dispositions, portfolio transactions, and debt and equity financing.

“Winstead has the leading real estate group in the state. As we continue to grow, we are always looking for the best available talent. We are thrilled that a lawyer with Luis’ depth of experience and relationships across North America is joining our firm,” Jess Straley, co-chair of Winstead’s Real Estate Development & Investment group, said in the press release.
