Daniel Mayerfeld, a business litigation partner, has joined Blank Rome in Houston from Skadden. He will focus his practice on complex commercial litigation, with an emphasis on high-stakes energy and commercial disputes, according to a news release.
Before joining Blank Rome, Mayerfeld was counsel in Skadden’s Complex Litigation and Trials practice in Houston for almost 20 years, where he represented public and private companies and individuals in federal and state courts. Before that, he was an attorney for Chicago Metropolis 2020 from 2005 to 2007 and, right after law school, he was an associate at Cassiday, Schade & Gloor for two years.

AREAS OF FOCUS
Mayerfeld’s practice focuses on complex commercial and energy litigation, including disputes involving mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, joint operating agreements, trade secrets and noncompete claims. He also represents clients in civil and government investigations involving anti-corruption, fraud and securities matters and advises companies on measures to mitigate litigation risk.
