By Brooks Igo – (September 18) – Weil Gotshal announced recently that John Quattrocchi, an expert on private equity and M&A matters, is returning as a partner to the Dallas office. He was an associate at the firm earlier in his career and was a partner at Dentons US prior to this move.

Quattrocchi said he looks forward to rejoining Dallas partners Glenn West and Courtney Marcus.

“It was an easy decision for me,” he said. “Weil’s private equity and M&A practice is nationally and internationally recognized.”

The corporate law expert has worked on transactions across a number of sectors, including hospitality, telecommunications, energy, automotive and healthcare. He recently represented Nokia in its $250 million sale of its luxury phone business, Vertu, to private equity group EQT.

In 2013, he represented Montage Hotels & Resorts in the acquisition of an equity interest in the entity that owns what is now operating as Montage Kapalua Bay resort.

Quattrocchi said the globalization of the legal practice and technology have made being responsive and staying top of mind to clients even more important.

“There is an increased demand for acquisition work and an increased demand for getting deals done quickly,” he said.

At Dentons, the Vanderbilt Law School grad provided pro bono work for Fans Against Violence, an organization that encourages fan safety at professional sporting events through education, discussion and partnerships with like-minded organizations.
