Norton Rose Fulbright Names Jeff Cody as U.S. MP

November 5, 2019 Mark Curriden

Dallas commercial litigator Jeff Cody is the next leader of Norton Rose Fulbright in the U.S.

Cody replaces San Antonio corporate transactional lawyer Daryl Lansdale as the global law firm’s managing partner of Norton Rose Fulbright’s U.S. operations on Jan. 1.

A graduate of the University of Houston Law Center, Cody has practiced at the law firm formerly known as Fulbright & Jaworski for 29 years. He represents healthcare, technology and financial companies involved in complex litigation disputes. He also has served as chief administrative partner and will also assume the role of chair of the Norton Rose Fulbright management committee in the U.S.

“I am proud and honored to be entrusted by my partners with this leadership responsibility,” Cody said in a written statement. “I am confident in the firm and optimistic about our future in this dynamic legal landscape. With leading lawyers across the US and around the world, we stand committed to delivering a superior client experience with high-quality and high-value legal advice.”

Norton Rose Fulbright now has 411 lawyers in Texas, 820 attorneys in the U.S. and more than 4,000 lawyers in 29 countries worldwide. The firm generated more than $342 million in revenues in Texas in 2018 and more than $2 billion globally, according to a Texas Lawbook report earlier this year.

“We are well positioned to optimize our U.S. legal talent and the firm’s global platform, especially after bolstering our coast-to-coast client offerings these past few years,” Lansdale said in the statement released by the firm.
