Gov. Greg Abbott has selected El Paso native Rebeca Huddle to fill the open seat on the Texas Supreme Court left by Justice Paul Green, who retired from the bench at the end of August. In a move to reduce debt and consolidate operations, chemical giant Sasol has sold a 50% interest in some of its Louisiana operations to LyondellBasell. Texas lawyers from Kirkland and Latham had a big part in the $2 billion deal.
