Platt Richmond has promoted Joseph Kim, Kinsey Lakey and Christopher Harbin to partner, recognizing their contributions to the firm’s commercial real estate, litigation and bankruptcy practices, the firm announced.
Before being promoted, Kim built a commercial real estate practice advising clients on a range of transactional matters. He returned to Platt Richmond after serving as a senior associate at an AmLaw 100 firm, where he represented clients in complex commercial real estate transactions.
Lakey focuses her practice on defamation and high-profile civil defense litigation. She is the youngest lawyer elevated to partner in Platt Richmond’s history. She was at Stanton LLP for 8 months before joining Platt Richmond in April 2024.
Harbin, a former Big Law associate at Greenberg Traurig where he started his career in 2010, has played a key role in Platt Richmond’s bankruptcy and restructuring practice for nearly two years. He represents financial institutions, creditors, trustees and other stakeholders in complex, high-stakes bankruptcy, restructuring and commercial disputes in state and federal courts.
