February 14, 2012 – Dallas-based Thompson & Knight is adding two new partners to its real estate and capital markets practice in New York, the firm announced Tuesday. William M. O’Connor and Evelyn H. Seeler join Thompson & Knight from the New York offices of Crowell & Moring.
O’Connor, who started work for Thompson & Knight on Tuesday, served as chairman of Crowell & Moring’s financial services practice where he directed the representation of leading financial institutions, special servicers, hedge funds and real estate opportunity funds. O’Connor’s experience also includes servicing mortgage-backed securities. He is the founder and chairman of the High Yield Debt and Investment Forum at the Commercial Real Estate Finance Council (CREFC). O’Connor earned his law degree from Fordham University.
Seeler has more than 20 years experience representing regional, national and Wall Street financial and banking institutions. She has tackled federal and state regulatory issues in commercial and residential lending, and she has also represented the FDIC and the SBA in their receivership capacities. Seeler is a graduate of St. John’s University School of Law. She will join Thompson & Knight on March 5.
Thompson & Knight has roughly 350 lawyers firm-wide, with 17 currently in their New York office.
