(January 30) — The State Bar of Texas announced it is presenting a resolution to San Antonio lawyer Tammy Wincott for her commitment to helping veterans and other Texans who can’t afford legal services.
Wincott, a solo practitioner and the principal owner of the Wincott Law Firm, focuses her practice on bankruptcy, family law and immigration. She is a member of the Pro Bono College of Texas and regularly contributes more than 100 hours of pro bono service each year, according to a statement issued by the State Bar.
The St. Mary’s School of Law graduate has been recognized by the San Antonio Bar Association’s Community Justice Program as its Pro Bono Attorney of the Year in 2010, 2012 and 2013. She tied with James Rodriguez in 2011 for handling the most cases by an individual attorney.
The State Bar will present the resolution to Wincott in conjunction with its board of directors meeting in San Antonio.
