Longtime Baker Botts executive compensation lawyer Eric Winwood moved his office across Dallas’ Klyde Warren Park over the weekend, joining Sidley Austin as a partner.
The firm has added bankruptcy attorneys from Jones Day and Akerman this month.
Aaron Kaufman, who recently guided Gold's Gym and its affiliates through bankruptcy in the Northern District of Texas, has left Dykema for Gray Reed.
The move comes almost one month to the date that the Atlanta firm announced the addition of Jonathan Newton from Baker McKenzie, who worked closely with the new additions.
The move is the latest example of the increasing competition among elite law firms for high-level litigation partners in Texas.
As a justice on the Texas Supreme Court Deborah Hankinson helped create the Texas Access to Justice Foundation. Although no longer on the court, she is now board chair of the foundation she helped create.
The Atlanta-based law firm has launched its 10th U.S. office with a team of energy litigators from Thompson & Knight.
The new leaders have close to 50 years of combined tenure at the firm.
